Another vape show and another chance to do our thing, this time in a brand new market! We headed for the Hall of Vape in Stuttgart over a sunny weekend at the end of May 2019. It’s billed as Germany’s biggest trade and public vaping fair we could see why! Greeted by some of the 23,000 trade and public visitors who came through the doors over the three days.
What were we up to?
The 450 exhibitors were spread over two vast halls covering 26,000 square meters, so no chance to be bored! There was lots of good music, loads of freebies and a great time to be had by everyone who attended.
What is the vaping scene in Germany like?
The vaping scene in Germany is alive and kicking thanks to the government’s comparatively laid-back approach to e-cigarette regulation. Germany currently has no restrictions at all on public vaping. It doesn’t impose any special taxes, has no rules on cross-border sales, and very few limits on advertising. As a result you see more vapers on the streets of Germany than in almost any other European country. The market has grown by over 40% in the last couple of years, and the local population love their vaping expos!
All the same, Hall of Vape is as much about information and education as it is about entertainment and fun. The rise in vaping in Germany is largely due to smokers quitting traditional cigarettes and switching to e-cigarettes which they accept are a much healthier alternative as well as being a highly effective quitting aid. So we were happy to chat with any visitors to our stand who were new to the vaping scene, or just curious, and help them understand how vaping works and the differences between normal cigarettes and the electronic kind. We hope they were inspired by what they witnessed at the show from the other visitors as well as the demonstrations and conferences that were all part of the show program.
The Jucce and Juccier vaping road show is rolling on and we’re looking forward to being back in Germany for Hall of Vape in Hamburg in November!
